Why We Started Buying Mediocre Houses

We didn't set out to become real estate people. We started this site to share our wedding — and somewhere along the way, the story became about the houses instead: the unremarkable, slightly ugly, absolutely un-Instagrammable properties that quietly turned into the backbone of our finances.

There's no luxury flip here, no private jet, no "I made $1M by 25." Just a couple buying starter houses and duplexes at fair prices, running the numbers honestly, and telling you exactly what worked and what didn't.
